<Description>
<DescriptionText><text>
Adjusts the reflectivity value used when performing a carrier verify in Spectrum
firmware release 1.60. Prior to this release, the value of carrier reflectivity
was set to 0.100. This is the upgrade value of crefl. If the device is not currently
experiencing problems with carrier verify, this value can be left alone.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
There are 2 ways in which crefl can be used if there are problems with carrier verify.
The suggested way is to set crefl to 0 which has the effect of bypassing the hole edge
detects which are redundant checks. This leaves the hole center check and vacuum check
which are sufficient to determine whether the carrier is the correct one and is correctly
loaded. Note that this is NOT the same as when proof &lt;n&gt; hpos is set to 501 which will
bypass all checking of the carrier. Machines that have proof &lt;n&gt; hpos set to 501 should
set this back to the correct value for the carrier and set crefl to 0.

<DescriptionText><text>
The other choice is to adjust this value so that the hole edge detects will work.
This is NOT RECOMMENDED and there is no procedure in place for setting this value.
The main problem is the variability in the carriers may cause problems in cases
where the customer may replace a carrier and thus changing the value of crefl required.
